The picture of mom is from the early 1940’s. I’m going to make believe that they were taken at the same time. Lucy is looking fondly at Jim, and Jim is looking out the picture all the way to New Mexico.

The picture of dad was printed on a post card in 1943, when he was in Puerto Rico working construction. On the back were the words, “To the three people I love the most.” Liz (Tootie for most of her life) was 18 months, I was nearly 3 years old.
